We took the provided shuttle to the airport at 11:30. Since we already had a boarding pass it was a little faster. Our flight left on time. Flight was less than 2 hours and uneventful. Stuart simply got an Uber that took us directly to the location, 11 Rue du Professeur Demons.
It is not quite like the photos on Airbnb. With the garbage can right inside the ground floor level, it was a slight shock to the senses. Up the very old, very steep stairway to our 1st floor apt. I give this place a 3. At least we don't smell the garbage can when in the apt. The bed is comfortable enough, sparse kitchen at best and a 3 for cleanliness. No soap, 1 towel and hand towel each that are stiff as a board. No directions to find things such as a restaurant or market. Stuart did find a Carre Four Mini and got a few things. Cheese, bread, wine for dinner. We also started a big pot of chicken soup to eat tomorrow. We are determined to get well!
Of course it was 10p before I got in bed and later than that for Stuart. He attempted a hot bath but the hot water did not fill the tub. At least we are IN BORDEAUX tonight!!!
